Introduction

For most, the name Lake Eyre conjures up parched, drought ridden salt plains as far as the eye can see. Hardly the sort of environment in which nature can thrive in. That is until now.

Bursting to life with all manner of flora and fauna and giving its cattle producers a much needed spell from the unforgiving elements, recent rainfall has transformed the brittle terrain into a stunning oasis which truly needs to be seen to be believed.

Visitors to the region will be richly rewarded with a vibrant display of bird species, masses of wildflowers, and a lake brimming with fish - a poignant reminder that nature sure knows how to turn over a new leaf.

No doubt the rainfall has locals and their new ‘inhabitants’ excited at the prospect of the great lake reaching capacity as it last did in 1974!

Bookings

To book, please call our reservations team on 1300 668 824.

A fee of $250 per person applies when confirming your booking with balance due 2 weeks prior to departure. All cancellations will forfeit this booking fee. No refund will be issued under the following circumstances:

• less than 4 weeks notice of cancellation
• failure to join the tour
• abandoning tour after departure

We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance.

Baggage

Baggage is restricted to soft bags weighing no more than 10 kg per passenger.
