Closure of Brindabella Flight Training

Brindabella Airlines has announced the staged closure of its flight training business, Brindabella Flight Training, based at Canberra Airport.

Brindabella Flight Training has been training commercial and private pilots at Canberra Airport since 2000 when Jeff Boyd and Lara Corry-Boyd acquired the business from a previous operator. At that time, there were at least six flying schools at Canberra Airport.

Expanded Tamworth weekend service

Brindabella Airlines has announced the introduction of its larger J41 aircraft on weekend services between Tamworth and Brisbane.

The regional airline commenced its Brisbane - New England service in early May 2009 with two direct services per day Monday to Friday. These services proved very popular and weekend services were added in August last year.

Brindabella announces Brisbane-Tamworth service

Regional Airline, Brindabella Airlines announced today the introduction of a direct air service between Tamworth and Brisbane.

Flights will commence 11 May 2009 (subject to regulatory approval) with two direct services per day, Monday – Friday. With a flight time of just 70 minutes this will allow passengers a full business day in Brisbane, before returning back to Tamworth on the afternoon service.

Brindabella Launches New Headquarters

Today, Brindabella Airlines will officially open their new regional headquarters at the Canberra Airport.

Brindabella owners Jeff Boyd and Lara Corry-Boyd together with Canberra Airport Managing Director, Stephen Byron and Minister for infrastructure, transport Anthony Albanese will launch the new $6million hanger and administrative centre. The new base is a $6million investment by the Canberra Airport.
