Brindabella Airlines will further expand its services into regional Australia with the announcement of its Moree to Brisbane service.*

Scheduled for lift off on Monday 5th of July, the new service will run mid-morning, Monday to Friday - placing Moree within easy reach of Brisbane.

Currently the only options for travelling between Brisbane and Moree are a gruelling six hour drive or a flight via Sydney – making our 1 hour direct flight a highly desirable option that has long been on the radar, Mr Boyd said.

The move coincides with the airline's first anniversary flying Tamworth to Brisbane which has fast become one of Brindabella’s most successful routes – attracting strong utilisation by Australia's thriving resources sector, business and leisure travellers.

We anticipate similar results with our Moree to Brisbane service which forms part of Brindabella's ongoing commitment to enhance accessibility to and from Australia's regional communities, said Mr Boyd. We look forward to working closely with Moree Plains Shire Council in bringing this service to fruition.

Mr David Aber, General Manager of Moree Plains Shire Council, said the Council supports the proposal of a Brisbane to Moree air service.

The Border Rivers Transport Plan identifies the provision of a Moree to Brisbane air service as a strategic priority, and provision of the service is important to the Council’s plans for the growth of the tourism market and the Shire’s agri-business sector, he said.

Brindabella Airlines is a Qantas affiliate currently offering 150 flights per week to Albury, Canberra, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Brisbane, Tamworth and shortly, Moree.

An official launch for the Moree to Brisbane service will be held in the coming weeks. Date to be announced.
